๐งNode Guide
What is a node :
A node is a computing device connected to a blockchain network, running specific software that enables it to validate and relay transactions.
There are several types of nodes, each with specific roles and responsibilities. Some nodes verify transactions, others verify block transactions according to protocol rules, and others participate in solving cryptographic problems to create new blocks (mining), etc.
Why a node :
Nodes are essential to the functioning and security of blockchain networks, playing a crucial role in validating transactions, maintaining decentralization, and safeguarding the integrity of the network. Their significant number and diverse roles ensure the stability of the ecosystem through the following aspects:
Decentralization : The more nodes there are, the more decentralized and resistant to censorship or attacks the network becomes.
Security : Nodes independently verify each transaction, which increases security and reduces the risk of fraud.
Transparency and Immutability : By storing the transaction history, nodes ensure that all operations are transparent and immutable.
