โFrequently Asked Questions
About Aethir in general
Wen token and how can I get in?
The Aethir token is expected to give live late Q2 2024. Right now, there is no way to take part. Team will announce when there is. Be aware of scamers !
Where can I found the tokenomics?
Aethir tokenomics is live on official documentation, click here.
Does Aethir provide SDKs or libraries for popular programming languages to facilitate GPU resources integration?
Aethir provides OpenAPI for resources providers to develop their own platform and acheive more personalized integration with Aethir platform.
How does Aethir ensure that the pooling of underutilized GPU dose not result in diminished performance for high-demand application, especially considering the variability in hardware capabilities and internet connectivity among contributors?
The design of Aethir's incentive mechanism is, on the one hand, to encourage more resource providers to be willing to contribute their own resources, and on the other hand, it is to survive the fittest among many providers to ensure a consistent experience can be provided to end users.
Can you elaborate on how Aethir's decentralized ownership model addresses the challenges of resources fragmentation and ensure consistent service quality across the network?
The whole design of Aethir is to make sure that even with fragmented resource contribution, it still provides guaranteed QOS to the customers. For this purpose, Aethir defines the role of indexer, checker. Indexer is intended to route the request from customer to appropriate container, considering the cost, distance, spec., etc. Checker is designed to constantly monitor and verify the serviceability of the resource. The design of tockenomics is also encouraging the resource providers to contribute resources of stable capability and service quality.
The whitepaper mentions tockenomics and incentives for participants. Could you detail how the economic model prevents centralization of power among a few large token holder and ensure fair compensation for resource contributors?
In the design of the reward system, we will not give any preference to resource providers just because they have more resources or token. From the perspective of a single resource instance, no matter who it belongs to, they all have equal access to tasks and incentives. The operating rules of the entire system are public and auditable.
With Aethir's focus on reducing latency for a global audience, how does the platform technically mitigate the physical limitations of data transmission over distance, especially for real-time applications like gaming and AI inference?
In Aethir's scheduling logic, we regard the distance between resources and customers as an important factor in scheduling. For example, we will not schedule resources in Southeast-Asia to serve users in Europe, even if the resources in Southeast-Asia are at a relatively low utilization rate. At the same time, Aethir's incentive system will encourage more resources to be deployed in Europe to provide nearby services to European users. This is important when serving tasks with low latency requirements.
As the network grows, how does Aethir plan to scale its infrastructure to handle an increasing number of transactions and computational demands without compromising on performance or reliability?
Aethir is architecture as decentralized not just for Web3.0 features, but also for segmenting its resources and requirements into different regions. The logic in each region is handled nearly independently.
How does Aethir ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience for both resource contributors and end-users, given the technical complexities of decentralizes cloud computing?
Aethir tries to make the lives easy for both resource contributors and service providers by proving easy-to-use SDKs, OpenAPIs. They can accomplish all their management portal based on the SDKs and OpenAPIs released by Aethir if they want more personalized and advanced features. They don't need to care much about the underlying complexity of decentralized cloud computing.
